My name is Ruben Bakker, and currently am a student at the graphic art school of rotterdam(GLR), back again after a 2 year break from school and now in my second year of the International Digital Media Design Course.

Besides that I'm a freelance graphic designer and my skills reside in the fields of print, web, CG, PHP driven CMS and e-commerce solutions, to name a few. I try to be as diverse in designs as possible; I particularly like to make things the best of both worlds, like blending vector and pixel art or cg and flash together to create original and refreshing approaches to design projects.

My "tools of the trade" would be Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Flash, Dreamweaver, After Effects/Premiere and 3ds max. Projects I can do range from full corporate house-styles to business cards/brochures/folders, websites(corporate websites; blogs and professional php driven CMS and e-commerce solutions), interactive flash advertising/website/mini-site, 3d artwork and animation, video reels and Illustrative artwork. That basically means I can offer you or your company alot of flexibility in services offered.

What I am doing now? Well, getting my own business up and running which is more of a legal entity for my freelance work. Also I'm in the process of getting my own place, and ofcourse going back to school after 2 years, so it's a busy time for me. Basically getting everything right to start my professional career. The name of the company will be ThesignZ, website will be up very soon. I'll keep my deviantART page updated as this project is coming along. Also, you might have seen that there aren't many deviations on my profile yet. I haven't really done much on my DeviantART page up untill now, so be sure to check back.
